Scherzer on the Block? Headed to Tigers?

Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic has heard that the Diamondbacks may be willing to part with Max Scherzer for Tigers right-hander Edwin Jackson. It’s doubtful this would work as a straight-up deal. Scherzer was selected with the 11th overall pick in the 2006 draft and posted a 4.12 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 9.19 K/9 this past season as a 25-year-old. He’s just as talented as Jackson, if not more, and will make the league minimum for the next two years. (Rotoworld)
